Connect your agent

   Open AI Agents from Settings or the editor's AI tab

   Click Set up or Manage to open the AI setup window. It also opens the first time you visit the AI tab without a connected agent.

   Click Connect next to your agent

   Choose Claude Code, Codex, Claude Desktop, or ChatGPT Desktop. ShotGlass finds the installed app and sets up the connection for you.

   Wait for Connected

   The button turns green when setup finishes. Connect one agent to get started; you can add others later.

Allow your agent to record demos

   Under Agent permissions, allow Accessibility

   Switch ShotGlass on in System Settings. This lets your agent operate the apps it is filming.

   Allow Input Monitoring

   Switch ShotGlass on so clicks appear in your recording. macOS may restart ShotGlass when you grant this permission; finish this step before filming.

   Click Done and start a new agent chat

   Restart Claude Desktop if you connected it. For ChatGPT Desktop, use a local chat. Leave ShotGlass open while your agent works.

Add the ShotGlass skill

For agents that support skills, install our short filming guide from Terminal. Choose your agent in the installer, then start a new chat.

Connect your agent to ShotGlass first. The skill teaches the workflow; it does not install the app or connect its tools. ShotGlass and the connected tools run on the Mac being filmed.

Open Other agents in the same setup window for OpenCode, OpenClaw, or a custom connection.
